My Story

Hi, I'm Ashley Klug, and I had been practicing yoga for almost a decade when I decided to pursue my yoga teacher training. After becoming a mom, my stress levels sky-rocketed, and a regular yoga practice became something that I learned to rely on for the mental and physical health benefits. As a former dancer, I was drawn to the deep stretching and challenging asanas involved in a vinyasa yoga practice, but the feeling of savasana at the end was what kept me coming back.

I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teaching training in 2019 at Evolve to Harmony, led by Carole Westerman with assistance from Suzanne Wright. My teacher training included an emphasis on adapting poses to students' individual needs. Although my early years of practice involved lots of power yoga, arm balances, and headstands, personal health challenges left me feeling depleted and led me to slow down and appreciate the slower, yin side of yoga and its many benefits to the nervous system.

I personally enjoy a slow flow class, pairing movement with breath while emphasizing slow, controlled movements that require balance, coordination, alignment, and strength. My classes are both challenging and relaxing, providing plenty of opportunities for stretch and always end with a peaceful savasana. I have been teaching since 2019 and enjoy welcoming students of all levels. I encourage all students to determine their level of practice each day by tuning into their bodies. I hope to see you on the mat!
